Wall ventilation is a natural form of ventilation for outside air intake with hinged windows in the wall of the storage area. Parallel to the wall, a drive tube with pinion units drives gear racks and opens or closes windows or hatches. The drive tube is driven by a self-locking motor gearbox, which may or may not be equipped with an accurate position encoder for very accurate control.
